Over diagnosis of depression

Critics of biological approaches to psychiatry (eg. the medical model which leads on to prescription of anti-depressant drugs) have been claiming for years that the medical approach to depression is nothing more than a marketing exercise by drug companies. Evidence has recently been revealed which clearly demonstrates that depression is being over-diagnosed and over drug-treated in America. How far behind is Australia (if at all?)
